I started my engineering career in electronic design 1969, then working
some time with instrumentation, cable television and a variety of other specific
technologies.
In 1974 I switched focus to computers - the first 3 years working
as a service engineer. Between 1978 and 1986 my vocational activities were mostly computer systems
oriented, i.e., programming and design, gradually turning more and more towards network
based telematics applications as well as research projects concerning use of IT. During the
nineties projects became more concerned with aspects of the Information Society.
Complementary to the R&D projects I have developed hands-on skills in concurrent
Internet and web technologies, as well as video related skills.
Engaged in European projects for more than 15 years.
Participated in 7 different projects applying technology for education and training. I
have worked as free-lance consultant since 1993.

Project leader for several LAN/WAN and Broadband
experiments, distance education, service prototypes etc.
1978 to 1986: Jutland Telephone, Data
Network Division
System programming, development of protocol and driver
software. Concept development, system specification and consultancy concerning
communication-based systems for wide area services and applications. Integration and
interfacing of special systems to network services.
For 3 years engaged in development of the nation wide
DANKORT communication system (the Danish national electronic pay-card system),
responsible for design and test of communication protocols and operations as well as maintenance software.
Participant and subproject
manager during the preparation for ISDN in Denmark.
